Working Hard, Living Big, And Creating An Impact

In today’s podcast, I joined Jeff Kaufman on his Gravity Podcast. Brett is also the founder and CEO of Kaufman Development, and the creator of the Gravity brand. Brett has spoken at The Assemblage, Google’s Startup Grind, and other networking groups and conferences across the country. Currently, he is working on his first book. Brett is dedicated to personal transformational work that allows us to live with more mental and physical freedom. He is interested in how we relate to our traumas, both big and small.

Turn Your Hardships Into Advantages

Today’s episode touches on how life experiences and traumas can impact you throughout your life. We dive in on my childhood and personal experiences to discuss why I became obsessed with safety and helping others. Events from your childhood can shape your future life in unexpected ways… Without those events, I wouldn’t be in the current position I am in now. This is one of the main reasons I always say, “where you are right now is exactly where you are supposed to be”. The key is using these hardships and challenges as a way to inspire yourself in a positive way. It’s not easy, but I hope that hearing my story can help you know that getting through these periods is possible.

Impact

How Will You Create An Impact?

Events throughout my life have greatly impacted my career path. Growing up I always wanted to help as many people as possible, so I thought that I would work in law enforcement. Now obviously, that path did not work out for me, but in hindsight, I am so glad that it didn’t. I can now help, impact, and provide security for so many more people than I could have ever imagined. As I grew older, I started thinking more big picture, and as a result, I learned all sorts of new ways in which I could help others.
